After repeated issues I am asking for the AG office to review the practices of American Homes for Rent. This company absolutely will NOT respond to emergency maintenance calls leaving customers without water or electricity or a house with water leaks due to pipe issues.

Unfortunately due to trying to improve my credit and being on disability I cannot afford to move. This weekend I called because the PRV valve went out and SAWS advised us we needed to turn off the water supply. We called the maintenance department at 5 on Saturday and still had no response from them. The assigned company was emailed to me and I callled the company and as "usual" the maintenance dept.

changed the assigned company sending me an email without any contact info. They do this to keep the tenant from calling the company and therefore you cannot get get this issue fixed nor does american Homes end up paying an after hours fee because you no info in which to contact. This happened as well in June 2016 we called because the AC went out on a Friday and received no help in 95+ degree weather until Monday. Again in july 2016 the electricity was TURNED OFF because the leasing company FORGOT to set up the acct (which the tenant has no ability or access to do) and so the third party payer didn't pay the bill.

I was paying my end of what was being billed to me but they didn't do their job and we suffered in the near 100 degree heat and lost food due to this horrific act of incompetence. They leave people in horrible situations by NOT RESPONDING. And this is very much intentional. Recently in March 2017 we had a pipe leaking in the attic.

It was pouring water into light fixtures and through the ceiling, we used 5 gallon buckets to catch the water due to how fast it was pouring through. Still no response for any services for 3 days. This is absolutely unethical and unpreofessional.

I'm sure with careful investigation and based on complaints I have seen online that this behavior is the "norm" for this company and they should be fined heavily for their poor performance. It's a violation of the lease and the HEALTH AND SAFETY of those in the homes
